Saturday Farmers Market

The Glenwood Springs Saturday Farmers Market 2016 season opens Saturday, June 25, and continues through Saturday, Oct. 29, in the Rite Aid Parking Lot, 1412 Grand Ave. The market has been going strong for well over 30 years. Participating farmers and vendors grow, harvest, handcraft and sell their wares and produce. Locals and visitors alike can pick from the fresh, local fruits, veggies, flowers, breads, honey, jams and pickles.

Redstone Historical Society event



The Redstone Historical Society is hosting its annual membership drive with an event featuring the re-release of Frank Mechau: Artist of Colorado. Members of the Mechau family will share their memories of Redstone in the 1930’s and 1940’s, books will be available and artwork on display. The event is scheduled for Sunday, June 26 at 5 p.m. at the Redstone Castle, 58 Redstone Blvd. Open to the public, donations welcome. For information call Sue McEvoy at 970-704-1843.
