Breslin memorial was incredible

I would like to thank the town of New Castle for sponsoring the incredible service for my brother, Frank Breslin, at Burning Mountain Park Sunday afternoon. The memorial was very powerful, and the effort of the volunteers who gave so much of their time and energy to commemorate my brother’s life was overwhelming. The out-pouring of love and support was a beautiful testament to his dedication and work. We were equally moved by the generous contributions of businesses and individuals who supplied the vast quantities of food and equipment for the event, and to the hundreds of friends and family who came to honor his 40 years of service to the town, and the valley as a whole. He loved New Castle, and did his best in the time he had to be a servant of the people, and the valley, and you returned his efforts in kind. We will never forget it.

As a side note, if anyone happened to find a white cotton handkerchief with red stripes in the park, it belonged our dad, and I’d be eternally grateful if it found its way home.

In humble gratitude,

PJ Breslin
