I-70 lane closures planned for burn near Silt

The Colorado Department of Transportation on Wednesday will have one lane closed in each direction on Interstate 70 as a safety precaution during a controlled burn near Silt.

The burn is scheduled to begin at noon. Smoke could be visible throughout western Garfield County.

Speeds will be reduced to 45 mph through the closures, which will run from mile markers 96-97 eastbound and mile markers 98-97 westbound.
