A 36-year-old male suspect that sparked a daylong standoff with Garfield County authorities June 16 has been apprehended by Arvada Police.

Arvada officers arrested Michael Rosinski, along with Tara Rosinski, at about 9 a.m. Tuesday. Both were arrested on fugitive of justice warrants out of Garfield County and possession of amphetamines, according to the Arvada police.

When Garfield County sheriff’s deputies tried to serve Rosinksi on June 16 morning, he had 15 active warrants for his arrest, six of which were felonies. During his most recent incident with deputies prior to that, he had assaulted a deputy, according to a sheriff’s press release.

Rosinski has a lengthy criminal history. His warrants included felony charges for assault on a peace officer, theft, trespassing, criminal mischief and failure to appear for drug possession and other assault on peace officer charges.

Rosinski had been spotted at the residence the morning deputies attempted to serve him with those warrants. But he was able to elude authorities on that day. At the end of the daylong standoff, which involved the county’s tactical team and negotiators trying to coax the suspect out, authorities found the home empty.

“His arrest was ultimately the result of a multi-agency effort that crossed several jurisdiction,” including the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and Arvada Police Department, according to a press release.
