Fireworks tonight over downtown Glenwood

Staff Report

GLENWOOD SPRINGS — Get ready for some fireworks in downtown Glenwood Saturday night.

The city-sponsored fireworks display, which had to be postponed last July 4th because of the dry conditions and high fire danger, was rescheduled to be part of the annual Ski Spree celebration.

Ski Spree is Sunlight Mountain Resort's traditional mid-winter celebration, and includes a variety of events today and Sunday at the ski area southwest of town during the day and at the Hotel Colorado this evening.

The fireworks are scheduled to take place at 8 p.m. tonight over Two Rivers Park, and may be best viewed from the Grand Avenue pedestrian bridge and from in front of the Hotel Colorado.
