Glenwood Springs police seek hit-and-run driver

Glenwood police are on the lookout for a driver involved in a hit-and-run Sunday night. The driver was reportedly in a truck matching the make and model of the truck pictured, a gray, 1999 Chevrolet Silverado.

Glenwood Springs police are on the lookout for a driver who fled Sunday night from a head-on collision in West Glenwood that left two people with traumatic injuries.

Emergency responders were paged at  9:34 p.m. to the intersection of U.S. 6 and Center Drive. A 1999 Chevrolet Silverado truck traveling east on U.S. 6 hit a westbound vehicle head-on. A 24-year-old man and 26-year-old woman were taken to the hospital with traumatic injuries.

The driver of the Silverado fled on foot, and police do not yet have a suspect. Investigators ask that anyone with information about the incident call the police department at 970-384-6500.
