Rifle Community Foundation solidifies affiliation with WCCF
October 23, 2008
RIFLE, Colorado ” The Rifle Community Foundation (RCF) announced its affiliation with the Western Colorado Community Foundation (WCCF).
The partnership will allow RCF to offer additional options of endowing a fund for the perpetual benefit of Rifle and the surrounding area.
“The Rifle Community Foundation is a fledgling organization. We do not have the resources available to us that WCCF does,” said Rifle Mayor and RCF board member Keith Lambert. “Our ability to further our cause in Rifle will be greatly benefited by our affiliation with WCCF.”
The affiliation was completed in September and secures the RCF with one of the most respected community foundations that reaches seven counties in Western Colorado, promoting charitable giving that benefits their communities. The WCCF currently manages more than 130 charitable endowment funds with assets in excess of $10 million and provides a professional staff and well-established policies and procedures to successfully manage investments, gift acceptance, grants, and scholarship administration.
RFC’s goal is to attract private donations from area residents wanting to contribute and invest in their community. Educational, community, and social service programs have been assisted by past grants from the RCF.
Rifle area residents interested in participating with either the WCCF or the RCF can contact Pam Szedelyi at (970) 945-0105.
