Two in hospital after I-70 motorcycle accident

A motorcycle accident on Interstate 70 eastbound near Glenwood Springs sent two individuals to the hospital in serious condition Friday evening.

Both riders wore helmets and were conscious at the scene, which occurred at 5:57 p.m. near mile marker 114, said Glenwood Springs Fire Department Lieutenant Jesse Hood in a press release.

Bystanders at the scene initiated bleeding control until GSFD personnel arrived to take over.



One ambulance from Colorado Fire Rescue also responded to the scene.

Both riders sustained serious injuries and were transported to Valley View Hospital via GSFD and CRFR ambulances.
