DOTSERO — Flames 20 feet high rallied firefighters from all over the valley to fight a construction site blaze Tuesday afternoon.

A cabin under construction in Dotsero caught fire at around 1:44 p.m. The cabin was near a concrete block manufacturing business on the west side of Dotsero, and away from the Dotsero mobile home park, according to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.

The Greater Eagle Fire Protection District is reporting that explosions were heard.

The mobile home park was evacuated while firefighters attacked the blaze.

The cabin, two storage trailers and one crane nearby were completely destroyed. Another crane was also damaged. No other residential structures were threatened.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said.
