Sequoia Glen 5K Run/Walk

The 18th annual Kenny Cline Memorial Sequoia Glen 5K Run/Walk will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 11, in West Glenwood.

The race takes runners on a scenic, uphill journey above the Glenwood Fish Hatchery on paved and dirt roads, before descending via the same route to the finish line on Donegan Road.



Registration begins at 9 a.m. on race day. The entry fee $15 is, with all proceeds going to help local animal shelters. Sequoia Glen is the first of six races in the 2017 Colorado River Valley Charity Race Series. Contact 945-0979 for more race info.

GSHS track and field spaghetti fundraiser



The Glenwood Springs High School track and field program is hosting its 21st annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 6-8 p.m. Friday, March 10, at the Glenwood Springs Middle School cafeteria. The meal includes spaghetti, salad, bread, drink and dessert at $10 for adults, $5 for children under 5 and $30 for a family. There will be a raffle for a new pair of running shoes from Independence Run & Hike. Raffle tickets will cost $5.
