Elk crossing leads to traffic jam on U.S. 6 at Eagle

In a week that has included avalanches across Interstate 70 and several other Colorado roads, rain and 40-degree days in January, and a ski area closed by too much snow, why wouldn’t a U.S. highway be blocked by a herd of elk?

So this happened Thursday morning near Eagle.
