Expeditionary learning?
This morning, right before parents began dropping off students at Sopris Elementary School on Glenwood Springs’ south side, two moose had trekked down from the Four Mile area.
Angela Crooks said she and her son Tyler Langley spotted the beasts in their front yard making their way toward the school. Tyler was able to snap these photos before the two moose sauntered off into the school playground.
A little while later, apparently realizing that school wasn’t quite their thing, they came back across the road, through Crooks’ backyard and up toward the water tower at the base of Four Mile.
Glenwood Springs police went to the area, but said the moose left voluntarily.
