Man falls to death at Snowmass Village

Staff Report

Authorities said a man apparently fell to his death Saturday at the Snowmass Base Village Parking Garage.

Snowmass fire and police crews responded at about 8 p.m. to a report of an unresponsive male laying on the ground in the garage, a news release Sunday afternoon said.

Emergency responders found the male, identified as 24-year-old Angelo Mowery. He was unresponsive and appeared to have traumatic injuries consistent with a fall from 30 feet above, the news release said.

Mowery’s Facebook page said he was originally from New Jersey and had been living in Denver.

He was taken to Aspen Valley Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The Snowmass Village Police Department and the Pitkin County Coroner are investigating this death.  No foul play is suspected.

Anyone who was with, or may have seen Mowery on Friday is asked to call the Snowmass Village Police Department at 970-923-5330.
