Culinary Arts Fest
What: The Culinary Arts Fest, Glenwood Springs Arts Council’s biggest fundraiser, promises a fun-filled day with a Wild West twist. Enjoy delicious food and drinks from local restaurants while supporting scholarships for kids ages 5 to 18 and creating space for local artists to shine. This year’s festival features live music from the Highway 82 Band, a dance floor, stick horse races, a silent auction, and even a photo booth.

Natalie Spears – Live Music and Storytelling
What: True Nature Healing Arts hosts an intimate evening of storytelling and music, featuring Natalie Spears and her band. Spears, a folk and soul artist, creates music inspired by the songs of birds, migration patterns and starry country skies, intermingled with her experiences of wonder, loss and transformation.
When: 7:30-9 p.m., Friday Oct. 18

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
What: In this adaptation of Washington Irving’s iconic American ghost story, award-winning playwright Mark Scharf brings a thrilling theatrical experience to life. The tale follows Ichabod Crane, a Connecticut outsider, as he struggles to fit into the close-knit and mysterious community of Sleepy Hollow — a place haunted by supernatural legends, including the chilling story of the Headless Horseman.

Country Craft Fair
What: The annual craft fair will feature local artisans showcasing handmade goods, including jewelry, pottery, and textiles. Visitors can explore a variety of unique items for sale while supporting small businesses and enjoying live demonstrations.
When: 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Friday Oct. 18, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturday Oct. 19

Halloween Hustle for Charity 5.5k
What: Support Advocate Safehouse Project while enjoying a Halloween-themed fun run or walk and post-race festivities like yard games, a prize raffle and food. Run or walk the Rio Grande/Midland Loop, or take your trick-or-treat aged children to run or walk a 1.5k course while collecting candy. Every participation fee will be donated to Advocate Safehouse Project, a Glenwood Springs nonprofit that supports sexual and domestic abuse survivors.
When: 9 a.m.-12 p.m., Sunday Oct. 20

High Country Sinfonia Fall Concert Series
What: Enjoy a short concert featuring a solo from Aspen High student and musician Kurt Kowar and other chamber music selections performed by the High Country Sinfonia, a musician-led professional chamber orchestra.
When: 4-5 p.m., Sunday Oct. 20
Where: Old Thompson Barn, 333 River Valley Ranch, Carbondale
How much: Free, donation suggested
SheBop: Young Women in Jazz Workshop
What: This two day workshop includes small group and big band playing, masterclasses, jam sessions and group activities for female instrumentalists and vocalists of any ability level ages 10 to 18. SheBop strives to provide young female jazz musicians a high quality educational experience in a welcoming, safe and supportive environment. The workshop will conclude with a live performance on Saturday, Oct. 26.
When: 5-8 p.m., Oct. 25, 8 a.m.-7 p.m., Oct. 26
Where: Carbondale Middle School, 180 Snowmass Drive, Carbondale
How much: $150 per person. Scholarships are available through Jazz Aspen Snowmass.
Spooky Clay Slay
What: Learn how to carve a ghostly clay candle votive and enjoy provided libations — all while in costume.

Halloween Spooktacular and Spooky Skate
What: Skate, bounce and play at the Glenwood Springs Parks and Rec annual Halloween Spooktacular. Halloween festivities include a pumpkin hunt, carnival games, a bounce house, fire pit and more. All ages are welcome.
When: 2-6 p.m., Oct. 26

Escape – Journey Tribute
What: Journey Tribute Escape All-Star Band presents a Journey Show “unparalleled” in its authenticity. The tribute band, featuring Jeff Ellis, Shane Tassart, Stu Simone, Gary Ponder and Giorgio Tupanjin, brings a high energy, electric stage presence and note-for-note song renditions.
When: 7:30-9:30 p.m., Oct. 26
Where: Ute Theater and Events Center, 132 E. Fourth St., Rifle
How much: $52 for table seats, $42 for stadium seating
