Adoption Event at Stoneyard Distilling’s Tasting Room.
What: Swing by Stoneyard Distillery in Glenwood Springs to snag a chance to meet one of our adoptable pups from the Journey Home Animal Care Center in Rifle while munching on delicious local bites and sipping on some delightful drinks.
When: 2:30-5:30 p.m., Friday, March 7

Steve White Art Show
What: Local artist Steve White uses many different mediums to display his talent of painting around Glenwood Springs, New Castle, and Silt areas. His art can best be described as rustic Americana.
When: 2-6 p.m., Friday, March 7

Colorado Hunter Education Course: Standard Course
What: Take your talents to Rifle over the weekend to get schooled in hunting and gun safety. The normally high-demand course will take place over Saturday and Sunday and teach the value and necessity of being smart with firearms. There is no age limit for the course, although Colorado Parks and Wildlife recommends that participants are at least over the age of 10. After completing the written test on Saturday, and live firing test on Sunday, participants will receive their Hunter Safety Cards.
When: 8-5 p.m., Saturday, March 8; 8-3 p.m., Sunday, March 9

Cost: Free, thanks to the Mule Deer Foundation.
Ecstatic Dance
What: Take this opportunity to get your blood flowing and body moving with no fear of embarrassment. For two hours, you can turn off your brain and let the music take over. There are no steps to follow or mirrors to judge yourself in. It will be led by Alya Howe and DJ’d by Dustin Eli.
When: 6-8 p.m., Sunday, March 9

Cost: $25, cash or Venmo
Flow Film Fundraiser
What: Visit the Crystal River Theater in Carbondale and watch the award winning Flow Film to help Jessi Rochel raise money for the ALIVE Rescue foundation. ALIVE Rescue is a no-kill animal rehabilitation center in Chicago that focuses on rehoming unwanted animals, saving them from unnecessary euthanasia. All ticket proceeds to the Latvian film with 97% on Rotten Tomatoes will benefit Alive Rescue.
When: 6:45-8:45 p.m., Wednesday March 12.
Where: Crystal Theater, 427 Main St., Carbondale
Cost: $20 online, $25 at the door. Visit the website to reserve seats in advance.
Presentations: 2025 High School Invitational
What: Visit the Carbondale Clay Center to appreciate and honor the amazing clay work of Roaring Fork and Basalt high school students. The Carbondale Clay Center will host the impressive high schoolers on Friday as students from all over the valley will get the chance to boast their hard work and tenacity.
When: 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 14

Introduction to Gym Climbing Class
What: Visit the brand new Rifle Climbing Center and let yourself be taught the fun and challenging sport that is rock climbing. The first hour will be instruction led, and then the routine will loosen for the second hour for more social climbing opportunities. The things you will learn include: introductions to climbing grades, basic terminology, how to fall safely, and much more. After purchasing a class, you gain access to two free weeks of entrance and free shoe rentals for more opportunities to practice the new information.
When: 6-8 o.m., Friday, March 14

Cost: $50 per person per class.
Country Dance Night
What: The last of the winter events hosted by the Spring Creek Ranch will take place on Saturday, March 15. The Country Dance Night will be a night full of fun food, drinks, and music at their Event Barn. A Band Called Alexis will headline the music and Rolling Fork Food Truck will supply attendees with tasty bites and specialty cocktails. The event is 21+.
When: 6-10 p.m., Saturday, March 15
Where: Spring Creek Ranch, 644 Cowen Dr., Carbondale
Cost: $35-350. General Admission tickets are $35 on their website, and will be $45 at the door during the night of. Round tables and cocktail tables are available for reservation on their website as well.
glenWOODSTOCK Teen Jam Session
What: glenWOODSTOCK is an opportunity for teens in the Roaring Fork Valley to meet up at the Bluebird Cafe, have a jam session, try out an open mic, or just socialize for a couple hours. Everyone aged 13-19 are welcome and instruments will be available for use upon arrival.
When: 5-7 p.m., Sunday, March 16.
Where: The Bluebird Cafe, 731 Grand Ave., Glenwood Springs
