I-70 WB reopens at West Rifle following crash

Colorado Interstate 70 westbound was shut down at mile marker 85, outside of West Rifle, for nearly an hour on Tuesday afternoon due to crash cleanup and all traffic was detoured to Highway 6. As of 1:41 p.m., one lane has been reopened on I-70 westbound for traffic, while the other lane is still closed for crash cleanup.

The crash occurred when a truck pulling a camper traveling eastbound on I-70 rolled over into the median and crossed over into the westbound lanes. Colorado State Patrol reports that two people were transported to Grand River Valley Hospital in Rifle for treatment of injuries.
