Greyhound bus involved in Eagle County crash
Greyhound-GPI-042617
A Greyhound bus was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 near Eagle Tuesday morning.
An alert indicated that the interstate was icy at the time and that the crash was on the westbound lane just east of Eagle.
The bus drove off the side of the road with three passengers on board. Only minor injuries were reported from this wreck. The bus driver was transported to Vail Valley Medical Center, though not with serious injuries.
This was one of three wrecks within about 100 yards, two being on the westbound side and one on the eastbound side.
Colorado State Patrol reported that hail and snow covered the road suddenly, making it slick, and vehicles slid in the slush.
