Join a cycling group in the Roaring Fork Valley, New Castle or Mesa County

Whether you’re a local looking for riding pals or a visitor hoping to find a local guide, area cycling groups are a valuable resource.

Aspen Cycling Club

Although Aspen is in the name, ACC aims to grow the cycling community from Aspen to Glenwood Springs. The nonprofit hosts nine road races and nine mountain biking races annually, and regularly works to maintain area trails. aspencyclingclub.org

Roaring Fork Mountain Bike Association

RFMBA works to maintain area trails, and the organization also serves as a connector for many of the area’s cycling enthusiasts. The local chapter of the International Mountain Biking Association also advocates for responsible ridership and trail development. rfmba.org

New Castle Trails

This group, a committee of RFMBA, is responsible for developing trails in and around New Castle. The organization often works closely with the town government as it develops mountain biking for its enthusiasts. rfmba.org/nct

Much like RFMBA, RAMBO keeps tabs on the trails in its area. The Facebook group is active, and the best place to turn if you want a riding buddy for Hubbard Mesa. Search RAMBO – Rifle Area Mountain Biking Organization on Facebook.

Colorado Plateau Mountain Bike Trail Association

COPMOBA is the go-to group for advocating for, building and maintaining trails on the Colorado Plateau. The organization has five chapters throughout the region, with trail workdays and other events to connect the mountain biking community. copmoba.org

Singletrack & Skinny Tire Sisters of Western Colorado

This group of more than 800 women provides connections to riding buddies, group gatherings and cycling information throughout the region. facebook.com/groups/singletracksisters
