The 101st Alpine Bank Fruita Fall Festival presented by Family Health West will take place Friday, Sept. 25 through Sunday, Sept. 27. The festival will span four city blocks and two parks, with over 125 vendors and two stages.

Festival sign-ups and event registration can be found at http://www.FruitaFallFestival.com, or at the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce at 432 E. Aspen Ave. A complete schedule of events, musical acts and list of vendors can also be found on the festival’s website. Fruita Fall Festival is all-ages, with the exception of 21-and-over beer gardens on Friday and Saturday, hosted by Fruita Rotary Club.

Discounted advance tickets for the carnival can be picked up at Fruita’s True Value, Alpine Bank and City Market, which includes five free game tickets. The carnival — with over 30 rides — will run from 3-10 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 25

Starting at 3 p.m. on Friday, festival attendees can visit vendor booths in downtown Fruita, the carnival at the Civic Center and the Rotary Club Beer Gardens at both Circle Park and the Civic Center.

There will be a lip sync battle at the FCI Constructors Pavilion Stage at the Civic Center from 5:30-6:30 p.m., with the Family Health West Street Dance following from 7-10 p.m. at the West Circle Park Stage. Live music will accompany the street dance at the FCI Constructors Pavilion Stage.

“There’s a really good lineup — one of the best we’ve had in years,” said Frank Ladd, Executive Director of the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 26

The Fruita Lions Club will host a pancake breakfast at Circle Park from 7-9:30 a.m.

Check-in for the cooking contest is from 8-9 a.m. at Fruita True Value. Winners will be announced at noon.

The AARP Outhouse Race on Aspen Avenue and vendor booths downtown will start at 9 a.m., followed by the Grand Valley Bank Parade at 10 a.m. throughout the area. “We’ve rearranged some of the vendor booths to facilitate better flow for the public,” Ladd said.

Attendees can check in for the Western Rockies Federal Credit Union Disc Golf Tournament at the Riverfront Disc Golf Course starting at 9:30 a.m., with Tee Time at 11.

Fruita Rotary Club’s beer gardens will be open again from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday at Circle Park and the Civic Center. “We’ve enlarged the beer gardens this year, so it’s not just a small little area that you have to be stuck in if you want to drink beer,” Ladd explained. “We’ve made it quite substantial.”

Aspiring performers can check out Rhema Music and Clothing’s Musician’s Workshop at the Rhema Music Stage from 1-6 p.m. on Saturday, which coincides with the Fruita Thrift Shop Bluegrass Music at Bank of the West Circle Park Stage from noon to 6:30 p.m.

A magician will perform at the FCI Constructors Pavilion Stage from 3-4 p.m. According to Ladd, there will also be a hypnotist filling in spots between musical acts to keep the crowd pumped.

Another street dance is scheduled from 7-10 p.m. at the Circle Park Stage, with live music all day at the Civic Center starting at noon.

The Rimrock Rodeo Finals are at 7 p.m., followed by the Fruita Lions Club Raffle at 8.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 27

Sunday’s events will kick off at 10:30 a.m. with a disc golf player meeting, followed by Tee Time at 11:15 a.m. at the Riverfront Disc Golf Course.

Vendor booths and the carnival will stay open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. downtown and at the Civic Center. Attendees can experience live music from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Civic Center stage and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Circle Park stage.

Enstrom’s Fruita’s Got Talent talent show will run from 1-3 p.m. at the Cavalcade, with the festival’s final event, the Ranch Rodeo, at 1 p.m. on Rimrock Rodeo Grounds.
