Palisade residents rejoice as a new place to watch sports and grab a quality meal is set to open mid-October.

John Feuerborn and his brother, Thomas, came together and decided to open 357 Bar & Grill, located at 235 S. Main St., in Palisade. Feuerborn previously worked in the oil fields, but lost his job, and decided to go into business for himself. He got into the restaurant business because of his year of experience working in it before his oil field career began.

The name derives from the restaurant having $3, $5, and $7 daily specials. The specials will be a mix of drinks and food, and will change constantly. Hours of operation are set for seven days a week, Monday through Thursday 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.

“I know the town is excited to have a place that is open consistently,” Feuerborn said. “I hope to draw in folks from Clifton as well to be a destination spot.”

The restaurant will have four 32 inch televisions as well as a 70 inch TV showing football games, or any other sport requested if they are able to play it.

“We will have lots of appetizers to enjoy while watching the ball games as well,” Feuerborn added.

The menu isn’t complete yet, but Feuerborn said it will feature items for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

One dish Feuerborn is particularly excited about is called the “Palisade Pig.” It will be an eight-ounce burger topped with sliced ham, pulled pork and bacon. Other items will include a chicken fried steak, which Feuerborn believes will be one of the best in Colorado’s Grand Valley, steaks, burgers and sandwiches.

He added folks shouldn’t be afraid of bar being in the name, as he aims to keep it family friendly.

He also hopes to include live entertainment when football season is over.

The restaurant will also employ seven to 12 employees year round.
