Already Gone takes the stage for Music on the Mountain at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park
Music on the Mountain, the mountaintop concert series at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, continues on Saturday, Aug. 16, with rock band Already Gone. Guests can ride the tram or bus free from the floor of the Roaring Fork Valley with the donation of a canned food item for the LIFT-UP community food pantry. Guests have donated 4,254 cans so far in 2014, including 819 at the Aug. 9 concert.
Over the last several years, Already Gone has become one of the most in-demand party bands in the region, playing at many of the top musical venues and festivals across the Western Slope. Their sets include classic rock, R&B, funk, blues, country crossover and good ol’ rock ‘n’ roll. Already Gone comprises drummer Eddie Muniz, Cristian Basso on bass guitar, lead guitarist Mark Chenoweth, Randy DeHerrera on alto sax and keyboards, and Lisa Popish on lead vocals. Community Banks of Colorado is the sponsor of this week’s concert, and is holding a food drive at 1810 Grand Ave. in Glenwood Springs through Aug. 16.
The Lookout Grille and Snack Shack will be open for dinner and refreshments, and guests can enjoy the park’s rides and attractions during the events with a Funday Pass. The outdoor rides are open until dusk; the Laser Tag arena and 4D Motion Theater are open until the park closes.
The Music on the Mountain series continues Saturday, Aug. 23, with the Caleb Dean Band, country music and Western swing; Saturday, Sept. 6, with The Goodman Band, classic rock and Stevie Ray Vaughan cover tunes; Sunday, Sept. 7, Christian Music on the Mountain with The New Creation Church Worship Team and Jerry Alcorta (free tram rides begin at 2 p.m. for this special Sunday event and the bands play from 4-8 p.m.); Saturday, Sept. 13, with Let them Roar, rock/country; and Saturday, Sept. 20, with The Missing Link Band, classic rock.
The park is open until 10 p.m. during all Saturday Music on the Mountain events. On Sunday, Sept. 7, the park will be open until 8 p.m. for the Christian music concert.
