Bobby Mason Band plays Music on the Mountain

Music on the Mountain, Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park’s mountain-top concert series, continues this week with the Bobby Mason Band on Saturday, June 14. Guests can ride the tram or bus free from the floor of the Roaring Fork Valley with the donation of a canned food item for the LIFT-UP community food pantry. Guests have donated 33,895 cans of food since the concert series began in 2009, including 900 cans at last week’s concert.

Performing the soulful sounds of Americana rock ’n’ roll and classic hits, Bobby Mason has worked with some of the top recording artists in the music industry. He will be joined by Hap Harriman, Bryan Savage and Haden Gregg for this appearance. The can-for-a-tram or bus rides begin at 4 p.m. The band plays from 6-10 p.m. This week’s concert is sponsored by Bighorn Toyota.

The Lookout Grille and Snack Shack will be open for dinner and refreshments, and guests can enjoy the park’s rides and attractions during the events. The outdoor rides are open until dusk; the Laser Tag arena and 4D Motion Theater are open until the park closes.

The Music on the Mountain series will resume Saturday, Aug. 9, with Fifty50, classic rock, and then continue Saturday, Aug. 16, with Already Gone, classic rock; Saturday, Aug. 23, with the Caleb Dean Band, country music and Western swing; Saturday, Sept. 6, with The Goodman Band, classic rock and Stevie Ray Vaughan cover tunes; Sunday, Sept. 7, for Christian Music on the Mountain with The New Creation Church Worship Team and Jerry Alcorta (free tram rides begin at 2 p.m. for this special Sunday event and the bands play from 4-8 p.m.); Saturday, Sept. 13, with Let them Roar, rock/country; and Saturday, Sept. 20, with The Missing Link Band, classic rock.
