Canned good donations sought for summer art campers

Free Press Staff Report

Summer Art Camp children need help building an art installation out of canned foods for the July 6 First Friday opening at The Art Center.

The on-stage installation project is called “Art that Keeps Giving.” The children are short on donations and are worried that the project will be a bit “skimpy” in presentation.

The campers are generally very ambitious, and with community support this could be the best and most colorful project yet.

Donations will go to the Community Food Bank once the art installation exhibit is over.

Drop off cans and/or sign up for Summer Art Camp from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Saturday at The Art Center, 1807 N. Seventh St. For more information call 970-243-7337, ext. 2 or visit
