Forté Farms produce at Farmers Market

Staff Report

Forté Farms was started in 1972 on 20 acres about 200 feet above the valley floor in Palisade.

Production at the farm includes 11 varieties of peaches, 10 types of plums, apricots, apples, cherries and Bartlett pears. Additional fruit is supplied through long-standing relationships with other growers.

The story on the farm’s website about how Forté Farms brings consumers the best produce is well worth the read.

This week at the market; Forté Farms expects to have Colorado peaches, nectarines and saturn peaches.

Salmon fillets, halibut, grilled salmon wraps, barbecue sandwiches, honey, organic jams, homemade bread, green beans, local apricots, fresh potatoes and grass fed beef are just a sampling of the items to be found at this week’s market.

The market is in the Rite-Aid parking lot from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
