Fresh produce at the market

Sam Silvius
Glenwood Saturday Market

The farmers at the market are pleased to be bringing an increasing volume and selection of fresh produce, including roasted chiles, canning quantities of tasty, red, field tomatoes and Olathe sweet corn to help fill the weekly shopping list.

Homemade carrot cake and organic 4-seeded Dakota bread help satisfy our sweet tooth, and to spice things up a little bit this week the special jams at Cyn Cyr’s stand are pepper onion and raspberry jalapeño.

Grassfed beef is available in a variety of roasts and hamburger to assist in planning your meals.

Fresh greens, bouquets of fresh cut flowers, basil and Paonia peaches are available at Kuhn’s Peach Valley CSA, while the Flat Tops wildflower honey, pollen and fresh summer squash await you at Mesa Forge & Farm.

The Glenwood Farmers Market is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., between Rite-Aid and Executive Plaza at 15th Street.
