Garrison Keillor returning to Aspen in August
Legendary writer, comedian and radio host Garrison Keillor will return to Aspen this summer with a new show at the Benedict Music Tent on Aug. 14.
Keillor’s “Love and Comedy” show features old “Prairie Home Companion” favorites like pianist Richard Dworsky and The Road Hounds, alto Heather Masse and actor and sound effects master Fred Newman. Keillor retired from hosting his long-running Minnesota Public Radio variety show last year.
Tickets range from $45 to $85, available at http://www.aspenmusicfestival.com.
The evening, co-presented by the Aspen Music Festival and School and Belly Up Aspen, will feature two hours of stories, love duets, Guy Noir, cowboys, poetic outbursts and a “singing intermission.”
