Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park expands its Friday Afternoon Club on the Mountain
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park has expanded its new Friday Afternoon Club (FAC) on the Mountain after the enthusiastic response to last week’s show. Featuring live music and food and drink specials from 5-9 p.m. on Fridays through Aug. 15, the park’s FAC also includes a free tram ride with a coupon that appears in the Post Independent on Fridays.
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, which was voted the Locals’ Choice for Best Place to View a Sunset and Best Music Venue, is located on top of Iron Mountain. Guests can take in panoramic views of the Colorado River and Roaring Fork Valley during the 10-minute tram ride and from the viewing decks.
Guests can also enjoy the park’s rides and attractions during the FAC events. The outdoor rides are open until dusk; the Laser Tag arena and 4D Motion Theater are open until the park closes at 9 p.m.
More information about the park, including hours of operation and a list of which attractions are open, can be found at GlenwoodCaverns.com, Facebook.com/GlenwoodCaverns or by calling 800-530-1635 or 970-945-4228, ext. 0.
The Missing Link Band, which is one of the most popular bands at Music on the Mountain every year, will perform at this week’s FAC.
The last tram ride up is at 8:30 p.m. During the event, the staff spins a wheel every half hour to determine the drink special for the next 30 minutes.
