Glenwood Saturday Market

Sam Silvius
Glenwood Saturday Market

It has been a busy week at the farms in our market as we are picking, planting, watering, haying and feeding; it seems as though there is never a moment to wonder what is next as we dash in and out, around and through the rain and sunshine that our wonderful area has enjoyed. What helps us continue is that we are each providing to you, our customer, the freshest, picked-when-ripe and not transported anymore than needed, quality foods for your family.

Many heirloom varieties have been planted, as well as incredible hybrids, depending on the best flavor and quality for your weekly fresh produce.

This week, Kuhns’ Peach Valley CSA celebrates our 30-year anniversary at the Glenwood Springs Farmers Market with Peach Valley/Garfield County-grown organic summer squash and greens, along with certified organic Palisade cherries, apricots and peaches. This week’s music, fresh-picked through the day, is by the Farm HandString Band and Friends, sponsored by Peach Valley CSA.

DeVreis Farm offers fresh potatoes, red and green cabbage, summer squash, onions, green beans, sweet corn and field grown tomatoes.

Kaleb’s Katch brings a selection of frozen, sustainable-caught wild Alaskan salmon.

Freshly made apricot jam is the flavor of the week at Cyn Cyr’s, while the incredible bars, brownies and baked apple fritters offer a week’s worth of treats at the Healthy Baker.

Wild flower honey, Plum Daisy’s award-winning jams and homemade breads round out the picks of the week at Mesa Forge & Farm.

This market is located in the Rite-Aid parking lot on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. through the end of October.
