Glenwood Saturday Market

The chili roaster is making its annual debut at the Glenwood Springs Farmers Market in the Rite-Aid parking lot this week!

There is a variety of fresh fruits, including peaches and a large assortment of fresh vegetables (Olathe sweet corn, green beans, canning quantities of cucumbers, red and gold potatoes, field tomatoes, cabbage and summer squash). These all allow you to plan and fill a healthy menu for your family.

Kuhns’ Peach Valley CSA celebrates our 30-plus years spending summer Saturdays along Grand Avenue while at the Glenwood Springs Farmers Market. This week, we bring Peach Valley/Garfield County field grown “beyond organic” summer squash, cucumbers, greens, kale and garlic, along with certified organic Palisade red haven peaches. Also, yellow transparent early summer cooking apples.

This week’s music, fresh picked through the day, will come our way courtesy of the Farm Hand String Band.

Healthy Baker Don brings fresh homemade artisan breads as well as baked apple fritters, Elvis bars and brownies enough to fill our sweet tooth for the week(end).

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

Cyn Cyr’s offers fresh peach jam using organic red haven peaches. There is a choice of jam samples that can be found at our market — stop in and check them out.

Kaleb’s Katch again offers a selection of sustainably caught, wild Alaskan salmon. King portions and smoked king (this makes a quick, tasty summer salad) and wild caught cod.

Mesa Forge & Farm brings wildflower honey, pollen and Plum Daisy’s award-winning organic jams, including ginger pear, apple pie and strawberry rhubarb. Homemade cinnamon raisin and oatmeal breads are just the beginning of the bread selection.

All of these tasty foods can be found from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Saturday Farmer’s Market.
