Glenwood Saturday Market tempts with the smell of roasting chiles

Sam Silvius

The freshly roasting chiles make our taste buds water as we make our selections this week, from Olathe sweet corn, green beans and field-ripened tomatoes in canning quantities to the individual portions of sustainably caught Alaskan salmon.

A beautiful bouquet of fresh-cut flowers from Kuhn’s Peach Valley will brighten any room you place it in. Organic Paonia peaches, fresh herbs and lemonade also add a bit of cheer to your week.

The delicious peach fritters have arrived at Healthy Baker, along with organic carrot cake and 4 seed Dakota bread. These selections are just the beginning of the homemade bread and sweets available.

Local alfalfa clover honey, fresh turnips and green onions join the cinnamon raisin bread at Mesa Forge and Farm.

All of these freshly picked and locally farm grown items as well as many others are found at your Glenwood Saturday Farmers Market from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays into November between Rite-Aid and Executive Plaza.
