Glenwood Springs Farmers Market provides local, healthy back-to-school fare

Special to the Post Independent

Many of our area families are gearing up to head back to school, and it seems to me that the juggling act is more complex than ever.

The lean, grass-fed beef that is found at Farmer Dave’s is just the beginning of a quick, healthy meal. Wildflower honey, organic jams, Paonia peaches, many varieties of summer squash, apricots, greens, beans, freshly dug potatoes, tasty homemade bread, tomatoes and roasted chilies allow us a natural, healthy way to complete your weekly menu.

New Country Creations will have their homemade soaps and holders and the ability to grab a succulent barbecue sandwich as you shop gives a head-start on the goodness that awaits at the Glenwood Farmer’s Market from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Rite-Aid parking lot, Saturdays through October.
