Grand Valley concerts not to miss this week
Grand Valley wineries, parks and restaurants host many artists this week ranging from folk music to classical.
1. LIVE IN THE VINES
No Apologies will perform at Wine Country Inn (777 Grande River Dr., Palisade) on Friday, Aug. 22, at 7 p.m. The show costs $10 for non-hotel guests and diners. It’s a rock and country band from Grand Junction.

On Fruita Fourth Friday, Free the Honey, an Americana trio from Gunnison Valley, will perform at Cavalcade (201 E. Aspen Ave.) on Friday, Aug. 22, at 7 p.m. The event is free for all ages.

3. STEADFAST STEEDS
Destinee Reed will perform a benefit concert for Steadfast Steeds (1411 S. 16 1/2 Road, Glade Park) on Saturday, Aug. 23, starting at 5 p.m. Reed is a country music artist. Mustang horses and cars will be on site, along with a silent auction, horse paintings and more. The event is free of charge, but donations are encouraged.

4. CRUISERS BAR
Bicycle Annie, a local rock band, is set to perform at Cruisers Bar (715 Horizon Dr., Grand Junction) from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The event is free and open to anyone 21 and over.

5. LINCOLN PARK
The Centennial Band and Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra will perform classics at Lincoln Park in Grand Junction Sunday, Aug. 24, from 5-7 p.m. The concert is free to the public. Brats, sauerkraut, hot dogs, popcorn, soda and more will be available for purchase. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.

6. RADIO ROOM AT KAFM
Annalise Emerick will perform live at the KAFM Studios Radio Room (1310 Ute Ave., Grand Junction) on Wednesday, Aug. 27, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Emerick’s music is a mix of folk, Americana, and country.

7. MESA THEATER AND CLUB
Reverend Horton Heat will rock the stage Wednesday, Aug. 27, along with Pinata Protest and The Takerays. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $22 in advanced or $25 at the door. Reverend Horton Heat is a rockabilly style band.

8. SPOONS BISTRO & BAKERY
Morgan Crouse will perform every Wednesday through Sept. 24, from 6-8 p.m. at Spoons Bistro & Bakery (3090 N. 12th St., Grand Junction). It will be on the outside patio. The events are free to attend.
