Seasons are changing, but music stays constant in the Grand Valley. The Hot Tomato, Mesa Theater and Club and more will host rock, hip-hop and more during the week of Oct. 10-16.

COLORADO MESA UNIVERSITY



Altius Quartet and Brahmns Quintet will play at Colorado Mesa University’s Moss Performing Arts Center Recital Hall (1100 North Ave., Grand Junction) on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 3 p.m. Tickets cost $9 and up in advanced, or $12 and up at the door depending on seat selection.

STEADFAST STEEDS

Destinee Reed will perform a benefit concert for Steadfast Steeds (1411 S. 16 1/2 Road, Glade Park) on Saturday, Oct. 11, starting at 1 p.m. Reed is a country music artist. Mustang horses and cars will be on site, along with a silent auction, horse paintings and more. The event is free of charge, but donations are encouraged.

MESA THEATER & CLUB

City of the Weak and Scarlet Canary will perform at Mesa Theater and Club (538 Main St., Grand Junction) on Friday, Oct. 10, at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $5 in advance or $10 day-of. The show is open to all ages.

Kaleido, a rock/pop band from Detroit, will perform on Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 7:30 p.m Tickets cost $5 and open to all ages.

ill.Gates, an electronic dance music band, will perform on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $10 in advanced or $15 at the door. Students with a valid ID receive $5 off.

A TASTE OF HEAVEN

Every Wednesday, A Taste of Heaven (2817 North Ave., Grand Junction) hosts a blues jam from 7-9:30 p.m. It includes open-play sessions and performances by the host band. It is free and open to the public.

JACK + JILL will perform at The Hot Tomato Pizzeria on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 7 p.m. The show is free and open to all ages.

Pirate Locomotive will perform Friday, Oct. 10, at 3 p.m. at Cruiser’s Bar (715 Horizon Dr., Suite 100, Grand Junction).

Gerry Goodman, a local rock and blues band, will perform on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 3 p.m.

All tickets cost $5; and first drink is free for both 21-and-over shows.
