Market continues

Fall has finally arrived on our calendars, and the numerous varieties of the flavorful, healthful winter squash are arriving in increasing volume at your Glenwood Springs Saturday Farmers’ Market.

From the beyond organic at Kuhns’ Peach valley CSA’s offering of field grown, sweet/hot peppers, tomatoes, snap beans, cucumbers, garlic, greens, fingerling potatoes, and Gail’s flowers, pesto and herbs. The finest Palisade organic peaches, Paonia organic apples and red and yellow pears will also be available.

The fields of DeVries Farm bring you freshly roasting chili’s and storage quantities of potatoes, dried beans, beets and onions.

Silt Mesa grown summer squash, onions, winter squash and Flat Tops wild flower honey as well as bee pollen help us round out healthy vegetables available this week.

Double stuffed foccachia bread and apple and peach fritters from Healthy Baker and lean grass-fed beef from Farmer Dave in a large selection add to our ability to complete a well balanced menu.

Cyn Cyr’s homemade jams and jellies help add a little sparkle while the fantastic flavor of wild caught Alaskan salmon lets us begin stocking our freezers for winter.

Your Glenwood Springs Saturday Farmers’ Market is located in the Rite-Aid parking lot from 7:45 a.m. to 3 p.m.

As with many options, the best selection is early, but the live music runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
