Music: James McMurtry, The Ragbirds and more to perform this week
Many performances are planned throughout the Grand Valley, featuring a variety of music styles — from folk to rock — between May 22-28.
No Outlet Trio will perform at Bailey’s Lounge (2790 Crossroads Boulevard, Grand Junction) on Monday, May 25, at 5 p.m. The show is free and open to the public.
OC45 and Ryan Harrison will perform at Barons (539 Colorado Ave., Grand Junction) on Friday, May 22, at 10 p.m. The show is free and open to ages 18 and older.
La Armada and This Foul Year will perform on Saturday, May 23, at 10 p.m. The show is free and open to ages 18 and older.
A weekly blues jam is set for every Tuesday night at Charlie Dwellington’s (103 N. First St., Grand Junction) from 7-10 p.m. It includes open-play sessions and performances by the host band. The event is free.

Tony Holiday and the Velvetones will play at Cruisers Bar (715 Horizon Dr., Grand Junction) on Friday, May 22, at 9:30 p.m.
Ulterior Motives will perform on Saturday, May 23, at 9:30 p.m.
The shows cost $5 and open to ages 21 and older.
Max Gomez and James McMurtry will perform on Thursday, May 28, starting at 6:30 p.m. at Edgewater Brewery (905 Struthers Ave., Grand Junction) to kick off the ART + MUSIC Festival set for May 28-31. The show is free and open to all ages.
The lawn only allows for 500 people, so get there when the doors open at 5 p.m.
HOT TOMATO PIZZERIA
Let Them Road will perform on Saturday, May 23, at 6 p.m. at Hot Tomato Pizzeria (124 N. Mulberry St., Fruita).
The Ragbirds will perform on Wednesday, May 27, at 6 p.m.
The shows are free and open to all ages.
Muscle Beach will play at The Local on Monday, May 25, at 10 p.m. Sugar Skulls and Marigolds will also perform. The show is free and open to ages 18 and older.
PALISADE BREWING COMPANY
Dualakoo will perform on Friday, May 22, from 7-10 p.m. at Palisade Brewing Company (200 Peach Ave., Palisade). The show is free and open to all ages.
Bobby Walker Trio will perform on Saturday, May 23, at Rockslide Brewery (401 Main St., Grand Junction) at 10 p.m. The show is free and open to ages 21 and older.
DJ JETTT-TRAIN will perform on Friday, May 22, at 10 p.m. at Sabrosa Restaurante (122 S. Fifth St., Grand Junction). The show is free and open to ages 21 and older.
