Colorado Mesa University's Piano Trio will perform on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at CMU.

There is plenty of music scheduled this week in Colorado’s Grand Valley, including rock and folk between Oct. 2-8.


Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra will perform on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 2-3, at Avalon Theatre (649 Main St., Grand Junction). Tickets cost $20-$40 for adults and $5 for students. Saturday’s performance is set for 7:30 p.m. and Sunday’s performance is set for 3 p.m.


Matt Hovey will perform on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 7:30 p.m. at Cavalcade (201 E. Aspen Ave., Fruita). Tickets cost $5 and is open to ages 18 and older.


A weekly blues jam is set for every Tuesday night at Charlie Dwellington’s (103 N. First St., Grand Junction) from 7-10 p.m. It includes open-play sessions and performances by the host band. The event is free.

Redlands will perform on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 6:30 p.m. at Country Inn Lodge (718 Main St., Grand Junction). Tickets cost $8 online or $16 at the door.


Alpine Echo will perform on Sunday, Oct. 4, from 2-6 p.m. at Edgewater Brewery (905 Struthers Ave., Grand Junction) during the German-American Club’s Mini-Oktoberfest. The event is free to attend and open to all ages.


Hot Tomato Pizzeria (124 N. Mulberry St., Fruita) will celebrate its 10th anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 3, starting at 11 a.m. Music will be performed all day by Peggy Malone, Scott Ibex, Gigi Love and Tight Thump. The event is free to attend and open to all ages.


Community Concerts of the Grand Valley will host a walk down memory lane, with Bandstand Boogie featuring the Diamonds on Friday, Oct. 2, at Grand Junction High School (1400 N. Fifth St., Grand Junction), at 7:30 p.m. Adult tickets cost $25 and students cost $15. For more information, call 970-243-1979.


Bob Malone will perform at KAFM’s Radio Room (1310 Ute Ave., Grand Junction). on Friday, Oct. 2, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15 in advance or $20 at the door.


The Rocketz, The Centuries Rockabilly, Royal Dead and more will perform on Friday, Oct. 2, at 8 p.m. at Sabrosa (122 S. Fifth St., Grand Junction). The show is free and open to ages 18 and older.
