Music this week: Stray Grass, Collin Reese, Tight Thump & more to perform

Many performances are planned throughout the Grand Valley, featuring a variety of music styles — from folk to rock — between June 5-11.

ALE HOUSE

Zolopht and We Speak Imaginese will perform on Saturday, June 6, during The Ale House’s Brewfest. The event is set for the Ale House (2531 N. 12th St., Grand Junction) from 2-8 p.m. Entrance costs $25 for ages 21 and older and proceeds benefit the March of Dimes.

AVALON THEATRE

The Rocky Mountain Children’s Choir will perform on Saturday, June 7, at 4:30 p.m. at Avalon Theatre (645 Main St., Grand Junction). Tickets cost $5 per person and the show is open to all ages.

CAVALCADE

Cavalcade (201 E. Aspen Ave., Fruita) will host a variety show on Saturday, June 6, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for students.

CHARLIE DWELLINGTON’S

A weekly blues jam is set for every Tuesday night at Charlie Dwellington’s (103 N. First St., Grand Junction) from 7-10 p.m. It includes open-play sessions and performances by the host band. The event is free.

The Oxymorons will play on June 6, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. The show is free and open to all ages.

COLORADO CANYONS GALLERY

Flat Top Reed will play at Colorado Canyons Gallery (623 Main St., Grand Junction) on Friday, June 6, at 6 p.m. The show is free and open to the public.

COPPER CLUB BREWING COMPANY

Clyde McGee will perform on Friday, June 5, at 7:30 p.m. at Copper Club Brewing Company (233 E. Aspen Ave., Fruita). The show is free and open to all ages.

CRUISERS BAR

Dave Mensch will perform at Cruisers Bar (715 Horizon Dr., Grand Junction) on Friday, June 5.

Kyle Tischler will perform on Saturday, June 6.

The Deer Run Drifters will perform on Wednesday, June 10.

BLKHRTS with Gold Plated People will perform on Thursday, June 11.

All shows start at 9:30 p.m. and cost $5 for ages 21 and older.

EDGEWATER BREWERY

Collin Reese will perform at Edgewater Brewery (905 Struthers Ave., Grand Junction) on Saturday, June 6, at 7 p.m. The show is free and open to all ages.

FRUITA CIVIC CENTER PARK

The Instagators will perform on Thursday, June 11, at 7:30 p.m. at Fruita’s Civic Center Park, located at 325 E. Aspen Ave. The show is free and open to the public.

GRANDE RIVER VINEYARDS

Exit 42 will perform at Grande River Vineyards (787 N. Elberta Ave., Palisade) on Saturday, June 6, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County.

HOT TOMATO PIZZERIA

Tight Thump will perform at Hot Tomato Pizzeria (124 N. Mulberry St., Fruita) on Saturday, June 6, at 6 p.m. The show is free and open to all ages.

M CITY LOUNGE

Carlton Pride and SolPride plus The Tankerays will perform on Thursday, June 11, at 7 p.m. at M City Lounge (515 S. Seventh St., Grand Junction). The show costs $5 in advance or $7 at the door.

PALISADE BREWING COMPANY

Stray Grass will perform at Palisade Brewing Company (200 Peach St., Palisade) on Saturday, June 6, from 7-10 p.m. The show is free and open to all ages.

SABROSA RESTAURANTE

Wrong Impressions will perform on Friday, June 6, at 9:30 p.m. at Sabrosa Restaurante (122 S. Fifth St., Grand Junction). The show is free and open to ages 21 and older.

WESTERN COLORADO BOTANICAL GARDENS

Ralph Dinosaur will perform on Saturday, June 6, at 7 p.m. at Western Colorado Botanical Gardens, located at 641 Struthers Ave. in Grand Junction.
