Musical events happening in Grand Valley
Summer may be winding down, but concerts continue in the Grand Valley.
COLORADO MESA UNIVERSITY
Deciduous Trio will perform on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Moss Performing Arts Center Recital Hall on Colorado Mesa University’s campus (1100 N. 12th St., Grand Junction). Tickets are $9 in advance or $12 at the door.
The annual Music Faculty Gala is set for Thursday, Sept. 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Moss Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. The concert features CMU music faculty performing solos and ensembles. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $5 for students.

Butch Hancock, a singer/songwriter from Texas, will perform at Cavalcade (201 E. Aspen Ave., Fruita) on Saturday, Sept. 6. Tickets cost $20.

Live in the Vines Concert Series continues at Wine Country Inn (777 Grande River Dr., Palisade) with a performance by Vintage Voltage on Saturday, Sept. 6. The show starts at 7 p.m. and costs $10 (unless you are a hotel guest or a diner at the hotel’s restaurants).

MESA THEATER & CLUB
Royal Bliss, a rock/alternative band from Salt Lake City, will perform at Mesa Theater and Club (538 Main St., Grand Junction) on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 8 p.m. Tickets cost $10 in advanced or $12 day-of.
Islander, an emotional alt-metal band from Greenville, S.C., will perform with 9 Electric on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $5 and students are free with a valid ID. The show is open to all ages.
Lifelink, a hardcore rock band, will perform on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 8:30 p.m. The show is free and open to all ages.

Stray Grass, a local Americana/folk band, will perform on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 7-9 p.m. The show is free to attend and open to the public.
