The New Castle Community Market heads into the sixth week from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, under the cool trees in Burning Mountain Park, downtown New Castle.

Blazing K offers its homemade relishes, pickles and produce, and everyone’s favorite is the Upper Crust Bakery with pastries, breads and cookies. Eileen Leland has her line of new handmade jewelry, so shop early before the holidays. Dave’s Local Meats has all sorts of top of the line beef and steaks. The Crabtree Cafe will be grilling Italian sausages, hotdogs and brats. Mother Nature’s has its unique designs on T-shirts and hats. This week Holly, from Gluten Free Mama, will be selling baked goodies. All this and more, with acoustic music in the gazebo.

The weekly drawing has grown to include several prizes and three winners each week, for $1 per ticket, which helps sustain the market.
