PHOTOS: Carbondale’s 20th Día de los Muertos celebration

Carbondale Arts hosted its 20th Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, celebration as part of First Friday on Nov. 1. Día de los Muertos is a fiesta honoring the dead that is traditionally celebrated in Mexico and other parts of Latin America on Nov. 1 and 2.

Carbondale’s celebration featured live music, food trucks, face painting, a procession and performances by Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Folklórico, Mezcla Socials Dance, Roaring Fork Youth Orchestra and drumming led by Gabriela Mejia.
