109th Strawberry Days gets funky with musical lineup
Keyboardist Marty Martinez and his country band Cowboy Attitude are hoping to make up for lost time at Strawberry Days Sunday. We didnt get to do the battle of the bands at the Yagatta Regatta (on June 3), said Martinez, a keyboardist who has been playing with the band about a year and a half. Lonnie (Sandoval) hurt himself at work, and Bruce Safken, our drummer was playing up in Grand Junction so Lonnie couldnt play drums for him.Martinez said Sandoval is on the road to recovery and looking forward to getting back to the stage and his music.
