The Garfield County Planning and Zoning Commission holds a public hearing for the 36-acre Valley View Village PUD at Garfield County Courthouse Plaza at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 14.Valley View Village is planned for the intersection of Battlement Mesa Parkway and Stone Quarry Road in Battlement Mesa. The project calls for 119 housing units consisting of single-family and multi-family structures. The applicants are Edward and Ida Lee Hoglund.The other agenda items for the May 14 P&Z meeting are:-A sketch plan review for the Park Subdivision, located at 1213 County Road 112, Carbondale.-A discussion and presentation from Brian Brown and Randy Russell on the Lower Valley Trails system.-A discussion on the county’s comprehensive plan study area.-A discussion on cooperative planning opportunities for Garfield County and Glenwood Springs.-A discussion of the P&Z’s legal aspects, presented by county attorney Don Deford.
