2 CRMS seniors earn National Merit honors
Two seniors at Colorado Rocky Mountain School were recently named Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Josh Buchman, of Carbondale, and Alana O’Neal, of Oak Park, Ill., were granted this honor as a result of outstanding performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) in 2001.
According to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, such a designation places them among the top 50,000 of more than 1 million students who entered the 2003 National Merit Program by taking the 2001 PSAT/NMSQT.
“We’re proud that these students have earned this honor, and we hope this will further encourage them to reach their potential when they graduate from Colorado Rocky Mountain School this spring and continue on to college,” said Andrew Menke, CRMS head of school.
