How long have you been a Realtor? Since 1984. I was working at the Aspen Club and I kind of fell into it.

How do you think Garfield County is doing in real estate compared to the rest of the country? We’re about a million times better than everyone else because of the gas exploration.

Are foreclosures an issue in Garfield County? They’re really low compared to the rest of the country and our jobs and the economy are pretty strong.

What are your future predictions about the housing market in Garfield County? I predict the prices will level out in another nine to 12 months.

What is the average home price for a three-bedroom, two-bath home in Garfield County? Downvalley and in the Rifle area, it’s in the low $300 thousands.

When did you move to Garfield County and why? I moved to Aspen in 1971 and started in the aircraft industry and moved to Basalt in 1988 and then West Bend (New Castle) in 1992.

First thing you’d buy after winning the lottery? I’m pretty happy with what I’ve got ” I like the weather downvalley better.

Best vacation you’ve ever taken? Three weeks sailing through 21 of the Caribbean Islands.

What do you do in your spare time? I like to spend time on my property, garden, jeeping, flying and enjoying the outdoors.

Greatest accomplishment: The real estate business. I’m real happy with what I’m doing now and I’m having fun doing what I’m doing.

Best piece of advice you’ve ever received? Live your dream ” do what you like to do. Find something you like to do and do it well.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Fly airplanes ” be a pilot. And I have a license now.

If you only had three TV channels, what would you watch? Channel 9 news, the Discovery Channel and reality shows.

If you could have any three people over for dinner, who would they be, what would you serve and what would you talk about? My family ” including my wife, Dorothy, my two daughters and two sons-in-law and four granddaughters. We’d have good ol’ country food like hamburgers and hot dogs or steaks and salads. We’d talk about what they’ve been doing, what I’ve been doing, vacations and school.

What’s the greatest invention of all time? Airplanes. And technology and computers.
