7 charged over marijuana, booze at Carbondale prom

Carbondale police issued numerous minor in possession citations at Roaring Fork High School’s prom Saturday, including five for alcohol and two for marijuana.

“It’s always a concern,” said Police Chief Gene Schilling. “We try to address it up front, but kids don’t always listen.”

Schilling said the citations were issued at the prom itself, which was held at the Old Thompson Barn at River Valley Ranch.
