Abbon Lee "Abe" Moreno

Abe Moreno of Grand Junction, 73, passed away Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, at his home.Abe was born July 30, 1933 in Denver to Antonio and Ascension Trujillo Moreno. He spent his childhood in Pierce and had lived in Grand Junction since 1995.Abe had many talents and worked as a mechanic, plumber, police officer and most recently as a handyman. He was a “retired Romeo” who loved the ladies and they loved him. Abe will be remembered as a kind man willing to help others.Survivors include his sons, Tony Moreno, Leroy Moreno and Arthur Moreno of New Castle; stepson James Moreno of Hawaii; daughters Clista Smith of Texas and Angela Moreno of Kentucky; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
