Adopt-a-classroom program at GSES returns for 3rd year

The Glenwood Springs Elementary School’s Partners in Education (PIE) is starting its third annual adopt-a-classroom program. The program connects local businesses to the elementary classrooms by providing – through donations – school supplies for students who need them. PIE is searching for more than 40 businesses and individuals to commit to help out classrooms in need of supplies like binders, notebooks, and folders. Teachers are requesting donations of no less than $60, in either money or supplies, be made. In return the business or individual adopting the classroom will receive a “thank you” certificate and a plaque with the donors’ name hanging in the adopted classroom.They are looking for volunteers before Tuesday, Aug. 29.
