Spaces are available for Creating Functional Forms, a workshop with potter Peg Malloy at the Carbondale Clay Center taking place July 15-16. Discussions and demonstrations will cover a range of topics, and participants will visit Malloy’s home studio and wood kiln. American folk music stars The Kingston Trio are among the entertainers appearing during the Glenwood Springs Community Concert Association’s upcoming season.The season opens Oct. 10 with a Canadian string ensemble, followed by the popular Woods Tea Company Nov. 5. The Kingston Trio plays March 19, and the season closes on May 3 with Cadence, a male quartet. New memberships, renewals and business sponsorships are available now. The concert association is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and donations are tax deductible. The Carbondale Mountain Fair is recruiting volunteers for its 35th annual fair July 28-30. The Wise Fool Circus sets the tone for the weekend of free entertainment, more than 125 fine arts and crafts booths, international food and popular competitions such as woodsplitting, horseshoe throwing and pie baking. All volunteers receive a Mountain Fair T-shirt and good karma for the year. Positions include everything from circus setup to ambassador, office help, green team and more. The fair benefits the Carbondale Council on Arts and Humanities, which provides a year-round artist gallery and student and adult scholarships, hosts Carbondale’s First Fridays events and keeps the arts healthy in the valley.

Power Rangers star Kate Sheldon teaches kids 8-18 how to act for movies, TV, commercials and green screen. Cartoon voice-over and comedy is also covered.
