Alert for endangered Rifle juvenile leads to arrest of person on multiple charges


The Rifle Police Department reported that at midnight on April 1, a juvenile was seen leaving his residence in the 1100 block of East Eighth St. in Rifle with Aaliyah Quintanilla.

The victim was entered as a missing and endangered juvenile and a felony warrant was issued for Quintanilla. 

At approximately 7:40 p.m. on April 2, Quintanilla was arrested by the FBI Safe Streets Task Force on an outstanding Garfield County felony warrant for:



  • Sexual assault on a child/Pattern of abuse, a class three felony
  • Second-degree contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a class one misdemeanor

In connection with the case, Quintanilla now faces additional charges, including:

  • Second-degree kidnapping, a class two felony
  • Child abuse – knowingly or recklessly (no injury), a class two misdemeanor

The Rifle PD worked in collaboration with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, specifically the FBI Safe Streets Task Force. The Rifle PD also appreciates the community for sharing the initial alert, helping spread the word and aiding in the case’s resolution.
