Alice Eileen Artaz Cox

Alice Eileen Artaz Cox passed away Oct. 23, 2006, gracefully in her sleep.She was born July 22, 1929, in Glenwood Springs, to Peter Constantin and Zorine Tersil Artaz, both from Torino, Italy. She grew up in Glenwood Springs.She married Gene Arnold Cox September 16, 1947. Alice enjoyed reading love stories, gardening and yard sale-ing, but most of all, she enjoyed being a waitress. Her last waitressing job was at Oliver’s Restaurant in the Grand Vista Hotel in Grand Junction.Alice was a loving person, she gave her all to everyone and asked for nothing and never complained. The most important part of her life was her family.She is survived by sons Wade (Laurel) Cox of Grand Junction, Cliff (Diane) Cox of Colorado Springs, Bill Cox of Grand Junction, and Ashley (Val) Cox of New Castle; daughter Robin (Phillip) Wagoner of Grand Junction; grandchildren Misty, E.J., Christy, Caleb, Teran, Naomi, Faith, Robert, Ashley, Colby, McCade, Andre, Jason, Travis and five other loving grandchildren; great-grandchildren Milena, Raeanya, Kylee, Gigli and Bayleigh; eight sisters; and two brothers.She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and one sister.Cremation has already taken place.A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Grand Vista Hotel, located at 2790 Cross Roads Boulevard, Horizon Drive, Grand Junction.
